Contest, Giveaway, and Book #2!

A lot is going on in the next ten days:

First I'm running a contest on Facebook - the grand prize is a brand new Fox motocross helmet.
2nd and 3rd prize will win Mud, Blood And Motocross swag.

Once you enter, Facebook provides you with a link to share and if your friends enter the contest from YOUR link, it increases your chances to WIN! (very pyramid scheme, but whatever - you want to win right?)

Visit this link to enter:

On the day the contest ends (May 8th), EVERYONE will be able to download Mud, Blood And Motocross for FREE!

AND

May 8th is the official publishing date of Crash and Burn: Book 2 of the Mud, Blood And Motocross Series, and it will be available in paperback and ebook format.

I'll be doing some guest blogging And I'll be launching the newly finished Mud, Blood And Motocross book trailer. (Like I said - action-packed. Stay tuned...)

Graphic Novel Interrupted

A little background - Mud, Blood And Motocross originally started as a graphic novel. I started writing out the story line and it became a novel.

I got sidetracked, I guess.

Flashy New Website

So like I said, I'm a sucker for the animated gif. I handed off illustrations, but it will be a couple weeks before the trailer is animated.

Flashy new Mick Wade website. Check it out.

Animated Book Trailer Storyboard

I've been researching book trailers and found an After Effects guy to help put the animation together. This what I've got so far. (I'm a sucker for gifs.)

The Website

The website is up. Check out the brand new Mick Wade website.

Yes, Book 2 Crash And Burn is following fast on the heels of Mud, Blood And Motocross. I'm hoping to launch book 2 in April or May 2012.

The cover for Crash and Burn took a James Bond-type turn.

Two Versions of Promo Poster

I've been sticking with a strictly black and white illustrations, but I played around with some pops of color for the promo poster.
